Are you an international
student looking to complete an English proficiency test? If you have not
studied for four years in an English-speaking school or country, you will most
likely be asked to provide English Proficiency test results to Colleges and
Universities. Our qualified teachers and the structured program will help you
succeed!
The International English Language Testing
System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular English language proficiency test
for higher education and global migration. IELTS assesses all of your English
skills – reading, writing, listening,and speaking. Most universities in Canada
require an overall IELTS score of 6.5 and above for admission.
Toronto International Academy is pleased to
offer a series of IELTS courses that focus on providing prospective IELTS
candidates with the skills necessary to excel on the test. The courses are also
meant to help our students further develop their listening, speaking, reading,
and writing skills, which are required for successful completion of the IELTS
Test.
We offer the following courses on (Saturdays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm or 1:00 pm to 4:00 PM.)
IELTS BEGINNER: | Total of 24 lesson hours & 2 mock tests |
IELTS INTERMEDIATE: | Total of 24 lesson hours & 2 mock tests |
IELTS ADVANCED: | Total of 24 lesson hours & 2 mock tests |
Toronto International Academy is a registered IELTS Test Centre.
TIA is one of the official IELTS testing Centres and our students can take the IELTS test at the Mississauga location for their convenience. These are the dates scheduled for the IELTS test at our Mississauga campus for now and further dates will be scheduled.

ESL
Certificate Program
The English as a second
language (ESL) Certificate Program consists of completing three
preliminary ESL levels (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced), and five regular high
school ESL courses (AO, BO, CO, DO, EO).
After completing the course, students will be given an ESL Certificate.
